MARK CASHMAN
PRINCIPAL

Mark is a multi-award winning architect with a solid reputation for driving many outstanding creative projects in Australia and overseas. As the company’s co-founder he is the proud custodian of our collaborative, site-specific approach, and his eye for detail and creative-thinking contributes strongly to our work. Influenced by his love of simple, sculptural spaces, Mark worked with Phillip Cox, Burley Katon Halliday, and Graham Jahn (Sydney) and with Trevor Horne and CFMT (London). He holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours (UTS) and graduated with the University Medal and Board of Architects Prize.

STEVE KOOLLOOS
PRINCIPAL

Steve became a partner of MCK in 2004 after returning to the fold following time working and travelling overseas including a stint at the American School of Classical Studies at the Ancient Agora in Greece. A natural problem solver, and an architect of strong vision and capability, Steve is a key force in ensuring our conceptual work is realised with flawless structural integrity and finish. Known for his tenacious spirit and determination, Steve has helped many clients achieve the project of their dreams through his ability to articulate and deliver something truly special. Steve holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Newcastle University (First-class Honours.)

ROWENA MARSH

ROWENA MARSH
PRINCIPAL

One of the co-founders of MCK and our Director of Interiors, Rowena is an artistic and multi-talented leader who is instrumental in overseeing the immaculate finish our projects are renowned for. Inspired by unconventional and contrasting textures and finishes, Rowena shares her solid and artistic skill-set by directing interiors, conceptualising design finishes and bringing immaculate detail to our clients projects. Rowena graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994 with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours 1) and the Sir John Sulman Medal for Design. She has worked with James Grose, Graham Jahn, Daffodil, Danny Venlet, Engelen Moore and Richard Goodwin in Sydney and for Pierre D’Avoice, Trevor Horne, CFMT, Zoka Skorup and Phaidon Press in the UK.


DAVID PARSONS

DAVID PARSONS
PRACTICE MANAGER

David first joined MCK in 2006. With a background in residential architecture, he bought with him experience gained while working for The Superstudio, Architect Prineas and Carterwilliamson. While working for MCK over the following three years, David completed his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Sydney in 2007. David’s interests in construction were kindled during his time at MCK, and he subsequently completed his Masters in Construction Project Management at the University of NSW in 2011. Concurrently gaining experience as a Project Manager for Artechne, David helped manage the construction of three of MCK’s houses. David returned to MCK in 2012 in the role of Practice Manager.

DOMINIC LEVENE

DOMINIC LEVENE
ARCHITECT

Dominic joined MCK in 2006 bringing his brilliant design and development skills and much valued detail-focused nature. A graduate of Bachelor of Design in Architecture (highest honours) from the University of Florida, Dominic worked at WASA in New York City (2002-3) developing educational facilities, before moving to Sydney to work with Harry Seidler and Associates where he was involved in a range of national and international residential and multi-use projects. Returning to the United States at the end of 2004 to gain a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas (2006), Dominic worked with Utopus Design and Architecture of New York and London before returning to Australia.

SAM GLEESON

SAM GLEESON
ARCHITECT

Sam is MCK’s resident digital graphics and digital design guru. He is a tremendous lover of modern technology and has highly developed skills in creative visualisation. Sam graduated with a Masters in Architecture from UTS in 2008. He has worked on luxury residential projects in Sydney and Noosa, as well as larger-scale residential projects and schools in Dubai. In Sydney he worked for Baker Kavanagh, Studio GA Architects and CLFL Architects in the role of Architectural Assistant and Graduate Architect before joining MCK in 2010. Sam has travelled extensively and is a bright and positive member of the MCK team.

JARAD GRICE

JARAD GRICE
ARCHITECT

Jarad joined MCK in 2012. Graduating from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2005, Jarad brings with him a diverse architectural skill set developed over more than a decade in firms including Giles Tribe, Krallis, Maccormick-Simonian and more recently Turner and Associates Architects. Jarads passion lies in high end single and multi-residential buildings, where his attention to detail and construction knowledge are skilfully applied.

Joining MCK in 2012, Bek brings a wealth of experience in bespoke residential design. She has a passion for creating architecture that is site specific and of its place, with a particular interest in passive environmental design strategies. Bek graduated from UTS in 2009 with a Masters of Architecture, having received the Board of Architects Prize and the JJ Greenland award for Excellence in Environmental Design. She has worked for several years in Sydney, notably with Alex Popov & Associates and Alwill Design, gaining experience in luxury single-dwelling houses and medium density projects. Bek is a registered Architect in NSW.

MICHAEL CLARKE

MICHAEL CLARKE
ARCHITECT

Michael joined MCK as a senior architect in 2013. Before MCK Michael worked at Tzannes Associates for 9 years where he was involved in various projects including two of the largest individual houses built in Sydney in the last decade. A keen collaborator and creative critical thinker, Michael likes to develop designs that are strong in concept and detail and enjoys the experience of turning initial design problems into project specific design solutions. Michael teaches Design at University and Architectural Practice at the Australian Institute of Architects. Michael is a registered architect in NSW and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of NSW (First class Honours).

Jo Bastian

Jo Bastian
ARCHITECT

Jo joined MCK Architects in 2013 after extensive experience gained with Tonkin Zulaikha Greer and Paul Berkemeier Architects. Jo\'s experience in the highly detailed adaptive reuse of public buildings and bespoke hotels has enhanced her passion for well considered, site specific architecture. Jo became a registered Architect in 2011 after graduating with a Masters of Architecture (First Class Honours) from the University of Newcastle in 2009. In 2007 Jo was awarded the Eric Parker Travelling Scholarship which allowed her to travel extensively throughout Europe studying and visiting many extraordinary buildings and public spaces.

Pierre Bobillier

Pierre Bobillier
Architectural Assistant

Pierre joined MCK in 2013 as an Intern but quickly proved himself an invaluable member of the team and now works as an Architectural Assistant. He is zealous for practical, functional architecture that is not just aesthetically gratifying but has been well considered sustainably and is true to its environment. Pierre holds a Diploma of Architectural Technology and is also currently studying a Bachelor of Design in Architecture at the University of Sydney. He is versatile, swift to absorb new information a valued team member.

JACEY PARK

JACEY PARK
INTERN

Jacey joined MCK in 2013 as an intern. Her passion for design brings her to MCK in Sydney. She loves travelling overseas and experiencing new activities. She graduated from the International High School in Moscow, and now she is majoring in Industrial Design at Kyung Hee University in Korea. Jacey enjoys her life in Sydney while she explores her interests in Architecture.

Ralph Cashman

Ralph Cashman
Projects Auditor

Ralph brings 57 years of building industry knowledge to MCK. Quantity Surveyor by profession, Ralph has the role of auditing all projects prior to tender and construction, as part of our ongoing QA management philosophy. Graduating from UNSW in 1955 with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Quantity Surveying, Ralph went on to become owner/director of McCredie Richmond & Partners until retirement in 2000. Fellow of the Australian Institute Quantity Surveyors 1974, President NSW Chapter AIQS 1974-1976, Vice-President Building Council NSW 1976, NSW IOT Careers Advisory Board 1973-1979, UNSW Careers Advisory Board 1975-1979, and Sydney Building Information Centre Board 1976-1977.
